Senior Creative Artworker
Sean was the second skateboarding senior creative artworker to join Velocity in 2015 (We clearly had a lack of resource there). He’s been working in the industry for 11 years (mostly in Surrey, mostly in print, including at dnx).
When he’s not getting stuck into the details of artworking, Sean basks in the warm glow of his Twitter celebrity status. With over 23K followers, his jokes clearly beat @dougkessler’s tweets. That’s surely a win, and a blow, for content marketing.
Sean’s big inspiration (so big he wrote his uni dissertation on the guy) is Shepard Fairey, the man behind Obey Giant, because “he took a simple idea for a sticker/stencil and has, over the course of 20 years, made it into a global phenomenon of art, design, fashion and everything in between.”
More stuff Sean is into:
- Seinfeld (He’s watched every season back to back around 10 times)
- Thai food (but he claims he hasn’t eaten anything even remotely interesting until the age of 23)
- Angular indie (it’s a thing)
- Tottenham Hotspur (it’s a football club)
