UX Designer – Richmond, London/ Hybrid

If you’re a talented team player who wants to work with some of the most interesting tech companies in the world, and find cool digital ways to engage their clients, this might well be for you.

As a Velocity UX Designer, you will:

Work alongside our developers, writers and designers, consulting on all the digital work we produce to ensure we’re ticking the fundamental UX boxes and offering insight into how we can streamline the user experience at each step of a project’s development.

Our content performance team also have a treasure trove of metrics and insights from the sites we look after and the projects we’ve done in the past for you to draw from, so you’ll also be collaborating with them to ensure we’re incorporating those learnings into future projects and tracking the right stuff that helps us optimise them.

You’ll also play a key role in web site projects to:

  • help align a client’s goals for a new site with the user’s perspective and intentions
  • map out and drive the user journeys for the key personas
  • Perform user testing and experiments to figure out the pain points and refine the journeys and overall site map
  • ensure that this strategy gets carried all the way through to the end product
  • Repeat the process to health-check and further improve sites after they’ve gone live

What we’d like you to bring to Velocity:

  • You’ll be fuelled by learning – passionate about UX and streamlining the web
  • Can be the voice of the user – great at empathising and understanding their needs
  • Is methodology driven – is about testing and refining rather than running with hunches and knows their way around a double-diamond
  • Great to work with – team oriented, enthusiastic and loves what they do
  • Comfortable being our UX guru – whilst the UX chops shared across the teams are strong, you’d be the person responsible for owning it

And in return, Velocity offers:

  • A great company culture well set up for hybrid working
  • A focus on personal development
  • Training time and budget – you get to choose how to spend it
  • Lots of social stuff and ‘organised fun’, both company wide and driven by interest/ hobby groups
  • 25 holiday days pro rata
  • Pension: 5% employer contribution on qualifying earnings
  • Life Assurance

If this sounds like you, send your CV over to [email protected] along with anything else you feel is worth sharing
